This 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 is a highly coveted example of Porsche's motorsport-inspired road cars, pairing the legendary 3.8-liter Mezger flat-six engine with a 6-speed manual transaxle. Finished in Carrara White over black leather and Alcantara, this 997.2 GT3 is both a purist's dream and a track-ready machine, enhanced with a Lucas Fab Industries exhaust system and a welded coolant hose upgrade for added reliability.
Visually distinguished from the standard 911 Carrera by its aggressive aerodynamics and fixed rear wing, the GT3's purpose-built character is evident throughout. This example features silver 19" center-locking wheels, headlight washers, Dynamic Cornering Lights, and clear LED taillights, all contributing to its clean, motorsport-focused aesthetic.
The interior is equally performance-oriented, outfitted with hard-back heated sport bucket seats trimmed in black leather and Alcantara. A Lucas Fab Industries half roll cage has been installed for added safety and rigidity, complementing factory options like the Sport Chrono Package, Sound Package Plus, PCM 3.0 with extended navigation, automatic climate control, cruise control, and an aluminum driver's footrest.
Under the hood lies the revered 3.8-liter Mezger flat-six, known for its race-derived engineering including dry-sump lubrication, titanium connecting rods, and VarioCam variable valve timing. Factory rated at 435 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque, it delivers power to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and limited-slip differential. The addition of the Lucas Fab exhaust enhances the driving experience with a sharper, more visceral exhaust note.
Suspension is managed by a McPherson strut setup in front and a multi-link LSA rear, with stabilizer bars at both ends and powerful Porsche-branded six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers clamping down on large rotors (15" front / 13.8" rear) for confident braking performance.
With just 12,000 miles on the odometer, this 997.2 GT3 offers a rare opportunity to own one of Porsche's last analog, naturally aspirated GT cars, combining track-bred engineering with everyday drivability in a timeless package.

    • Great Car

I owned a '67 912 back in the 70's and it was a great handling car, but with minimal power. Much as I loved my first Porsche, my new 2007 Carrera exceeds all expectations I had about owning a new 911. The handling, the styling, the comfort and the feeling of mastery of the road can't be beat. And my fully-loaded base model gives me all the power I need, so I didn't think getting an "S" model for an additional $10K, in order to shave 2/10 of a second from my 0-60 was a worthwhile investment.

This is the fourth 911 I owned. The 1977 'S' was a blast but a little uncivilized with propensity to oversteer. The first(1999) water cooled 996 was great but underpowered at 290 hp. A 2004 cab with a bump to 320 was the best car I owned until now. The 997 3.8l is incredible. It has torque and a push in your back that is relentless. It holds the road with confidence. Even over 150 mph there is no concern if driven prudently(much advised). Interior fit and finish is good. Bose is outstanding. A few squeeks with sport suspension engaged but a small tradeoff. If you want a better ride turn sport mode off! Decent mileage at 23mpg on mostly hiway. Highly recommend this vehicle. Wonder about the updates for 2009 and the 'new 911' for 2012......

I have been a Porsche fan for years. Owned 1985 944 until I purchased 2009 preowned 911. Incredible driving experience! On the open road I put on my favorite tunes and go into a zone. Great power and handling. With all of that power and speed you get very good gas mileage.
