This 2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder is a rare paint-to-sample example, finished in Mexico Blue over a black leather and Alcantara interior with red contrast stitching. Distinguished as the most focused version of the 981 generation, the Boxster Spyder features a manually folding black soft top that tucks beneath its signature double-hump rear clamshell, as well as unique front and rear styling derived from the Cayman GT4. This car is equipped with bi-xenon headlights, body-color roll bars, side air intakes, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and dual central exhaust outlets.
The 20" Boxster Spyder wheels are mounted with Michelin tires, while stopping power comes from red Porsche-branded calipers over cross-drilled and ventilated discs. Compared to the standard Boxster, the Spyder rides 20mm lower on a factory sport suspension and benefits from the electromechanical steering system shared with the 911 Turbo.
Inside, carbon-fiber full bucket seats are trimmed in black leather and Alcantara with red stitching, paired with a color-matched dashboard, center console, and door panels. Comfort and technology features include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a Bose surround-sound system, a CD stereo, and the optional Leather Interior Package. The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer, a 7,600-rpm redline tachometer, and a digital display.
Power comes from the mid-mounted 3.8-liter flat-six, shared with the 991 Carrera S, and paired to a six-speed manual gearbox and a factory-optioned 16.9-gallon extended-range fuel tank. With its lightweight design, precise chassis tuning, and analog character, this low-mileage Boxster Spyder represents one of Porsche's most engaging modern open-top sports cars.
